Air France will commence a new route to Tokyo Haneda Airport next year.
Commencing on 30 March 2014, the national carrier will operate two daily flights to Haneda, direct from Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport. There will be one daytime flight, departing the French capital at 1055, and a night-time service leaving Paris at 2330. The return flights will leave Haneda at 0735 and 2215 respectively.
The daytime departure will be operated using Air France’s 309-seat, three-class Boeing 777-200 aircraft, while the night flight will use a four-class, 303-seat B777-300.
“Air France is the only airline to offer night flights between Tokyo Haneda airport and Paris Charles de Gaulle, ensuring its customers arrive at their destination feeling rested. Close to the city centre and very popular with business travellers, Tokyo-Haneda also facilitates connections with the Japanese domestic network,” the airline said in a statement.
The Haneda route will operate alongside Air France’s existing daily service to Tokyo Narita Airport, meaning that from next year the airline will offer three daily flights to the Japanese capital. The airline also operates daily flights to Osaka.
