Air France and Vietnam Airlines sign joint-venture agreement

Air France and Vietnam Airlines announced the signing of a comprehensive strategic partnership allowing the two airlines to optimize their services between France, Europe and Vietnam and to strengthen their positions in a buoyant but highly competitive market.
Through this agreement, on the basis of comprehensive cooperation, Vietnam Airlines and Air France are committed to offering more flight options and convenience topassengers through collaboration in flight schedules. Via 3 hubs Hanoi-Noi Bai, HoChi Minh City-Tan Son Nhat and Paris-Charles de Gaulle, passengers can travel to 50 destinations in Europe on Air France’s flights (compared to 14 destinations today) and Vietnam’s 20 destinations on Vietnam Airlines’ flight, not to mention SkyTeam Alliance’s global network consisting of more than 1,000 global destinations.
The two airlines will exchange experience to improve service quality and implement trade promotion programs to meet the needs of customers, especially those using LotuSmiles (Vietnam Airlines) and Flying Blue (Air France) frequent flyer programmes as well as services provided by SkyPriority and lounges access around the world.

The new joint venture starts on 1 November 2017.
