Air New Zealand has unveiled its first airport lounge in New Zealand’s capital city, Wellington.
Located on the first floor of the airport’s main terminal building, the new lounge offers seating for more than 100 people, with power outlets and USB ports for passengers to charge their devices. There are also self-service F&B buffet areas and a coffee station, and large windows overlooking the airport and tarmac.
“The lounge’s proximity to regional gates will give customers travelling on regional services more time to relax or get some work done in the lead up to their flight,” said Air New Zealand’s chief marketing & customer officer, Mike Tod.
“There are a range of spaces and facilities to suit all types of travellers including business stations with power and USB connections, dining tables for groups of various sizes and quiet nooks to read or relax in.”
This marks the latest addition to Air New Zealand’s domestic lounge network, following the recent opening of facilities in Auckland, Sydney, Brisbane, Invercargill, Hamilton and Queenstown. It also forms part of the airline’s four-year, NZ$100 million (US$71m) programme to redevelop its lounge network.
