Air Tahiti Nui has decided to completely overhaul its IT and operating systems, with the signing of a major new agreement with Amadeus.
The new partnership will see the French Polynesian carrier deploy the Amadeus Altéa Suite to control its reservations, inventory, check-in and departure control processes, along with other Amadeus tools to handle its revenue management, loyalty programme and payments.
This follows the recent announcement that Air Tahiti Nui will completely revamp its fleet in the coming years, with new Boeing 787 Dreamliners replacing its existing Airbus A340s.
“Air Tahiti Nui is in a transformative phase right now. We have already taken the decision to replace our entire aircraft fleet and next we must make sure we have the most advanced technology infrastructure in place to set us up for success,” explained Michel Monsoisin, CEO of Air Tahiti Nui. “Technology will play a pivotal role not only in driving operational efficiencies for our business but also in providing a seamless, comfortable experience to our customers.
“Working with the right technology partner is critical, and we are confident we’ve made the best decision in choosing Amadeus. Amadeus has an excellent track record in delivering reliable, cutting edge solutions for airlines worldwide, and it’s a community that we are excited to be a part of,” he added.
Other solutions adopted by Air Tahiti Nui include Altéa Segment Revenue Management, which uses demand forecasting and real-time data to improve revenue management processes, Amadeus Loyalty Management, which will enable the airline to create personalised offers and promotions for its frequent flyers, and Amadeus Payment Platform, which connects directly to banks, payment service providers, fraud management and other payment-related solutions, helping airlines to reduce payment costs.
“Amadeus warmly welcomes Air Tahiti Nui into the growing Amadeus Altéa community,” said Sunil Joseph, regional director of Amadeus IT Group’s airline business group for the South Pacific. “They have a clear vision to take their business to the next level, one that is anchored on customer-centricity, and we are pleased that they have chosen us to support them on that journey.
“Our advanced technology solutions will enable them to remain at the forefront of change and continue to innovate in an increasingly competitive market.”
