AirAsia Zest, the Philippine low-cost carrier, is making its fares available for sale through the Amadeus GDS.

Travel agents in Asia Pacific connected to the Amadeus system can now offer travellers AirAsia Zest tickets, along with multi-destination itineraries using a combination of AirAsia airlines, all in the same booking and passenger name record (PNR).

AirAsia Zest is the new named for Zest Airways, which is based at Manila’s Ninoy Aquino International Airport and serves domestic and international routes. It now joins the rest of the AirAsia Group, which is already available for booking via the Amadeus system.

“We are delighted to work with an industry leader like Amadeus as we strive to become the leading airline organisation in the Philippines. Amadeus’ extensive network of travel agencies will help us reach more travellers, both business and leisure, which is critical for us to take our business to the next level,” said Mikee Romero, chairman of AirAsia Zest.

Amadeus Asia Pacific’s president, Angel Gallego, said the move “marks a major step forward for Amadeus as we continue to strengthen our LCC portfolio”.
