Airline briefs: Aeromexico, Emirates, Qatar Airways & Air Canada Rouge

Aeromexico will launch its new direct flight between Mexico City and Vancouver on 9 December.
The route will mark the third destination the carrier serves in Canada, together with Toronto and Montreal.
Passengers will be able to fly to Vancouver from Mexico City on the carrier’s Boeing 737 aircraft with 124 seats including 12 in Clase Premier, Aeromexico’s Business Class cabin.
The flight will depart Mexico City at 6pm daily and arrive in Vancouver at 10.05pm. The return flight will depart Vancouver at 11.20pm and arrive in Mexico City at 7am.
“We already have presence in the east and centre of Canada and with the addition of Vancouver we will also cover the Western parts of the country, as part of our international network growth plan. Emirates will commence a daily service to Orlando, Florida on 1st September.
The route will be served by a Boeing 777-200LR with eight First Class suites, 42 Business Class lie-flat beds and 216 Economy Class seats.
Emirates flight EK 219 will depart Dubai International Terminal 3 at 03:50 hours local time and arrive at Orlando International Airport Terminal B at 11.40 hours local time, a flying time of 15hrs50mins. The return flight, EK 220 will depart Orlando International at 14:20 hours and arrive into Dubai at 12:30 the following day, a 14hr10min flight.
Orlando will be the tenth US passenger destination Emirates serves, following on from Boston which launched on 10th March and Chicago on 5 August 2014.
Qatar Airways will launch flights to Zanzibar on 1 July.
The new five-times weekly service will fly via Kilimanjaro and will be employ an A320 aircraft.
The Doha – Kilimanjaro route will become a non-stop service with the return Kilimanjaro – Doha route served via Zanzibar.
Qatar Airways flies to Zanzibar from London Heathrow, Manchester and Edinburgh with prices starting at £652 return.
The airline will also introduce a four-times weekly service to Durban on 17 December operated by a Boeing 787.

Air Canada Rouge has launched a non-stop service between Toronto and Lima.
This year-round service, a transfer from Air Canada, operates three times weekly on a Boeing 767-300ER aircraft with 280 seats offering three choices of customer seating comfort. Service is timed to connect conveniently across Air Canada’s extensive network.
Air Canada Rouge is the only carrier to offer non-stop flights between Toronto and Lima.
Customers on the inaugural flight from Toronto enjoyed a celebration in the boarding lounge, including a performance by Peruvian dancers.
