Royal Jordanian and Gulf Air are among the carriers who have moved their operations in Dubai to Dubai International Airport’s new terminal – Concourse D.
Concourse D is linked to the newly-renovated Terminal 1 via an airport train which can transport 300 passengers and will run every two and half minutes between the Concourse and Terminal.
RJ and British Airways were the first airlines to start using Dubai International Airport’s Concourse D on February 24; the remainder carriers will phase moving their operations over the next several weeks.
With an area of 65,000 m2, Concourse D will become home to more than 100 airlines that currently occupy Concourse C.
Shifting operations of airlines to Concourse D is expected to lift annual passenger capacity at Dubai International Airport to 90 million.
