Travel transaction provider Amadeus has successfully migrated Asian airline EVA onto its Amadeus Altéa Suite solution.
The move, which included 514 EVA offices and 183 UNI Airways premises was completed in less than a year, making it one of the fastest migrations in the company’s history on that scale.
The solution is used by 60% of carrier’s in the Star Alliance network, of which EVA has just become a member.
Albert Liao, project director at EVA Airways PSS migration said: “We couldn’t have chosen a better technology partner than Amadeus to help us transform the traveller experience and prepare us for further growth as we enter into the Star Alliance. We are extremely pleased with how the entire migration was handled. Amadeus’ strong and dedicated project team meant we were always ahead of the learning curve which helped ensure a seamless transition in record time.
The end-to-end system takes an entirely new approach to the way in which a passenger takes a flight, focusing on the experience as well as the departure process. It also automates schedules, seating and recommendation, to improve efficiency and performance, reducing airport waiting times at airports and enhancing customer service.
Hazem Hussein, executive vice president, airline commercial, Amadeus Asia Pacific said, “Amadeus would like to congratulate EVA Airways on their entry into the Star Alliance and are proud to be their chosen technology partner to help facilitate this move.”
“The seamless migration of this major carrier is a great example of how a well-handled migration can be efficient and is testament to the effective collaboration and project management enjoyed between EVA Airways and Amadeus,” he added.
