A major Australian accommodation aggregator has made its content available through the Amadeus GDS for the first time.
The Lido Group, which offers more than 500 hotels via its Australian Accommodation Data Exchange (AADX), has penned a deal that will enable travel agents to book its portfolio via all Amadeus channels, including travel agency websites, corporate booking tools and Amadeus Selling Platform under the ‘AA’ chain code. This means the hotel bookings can be integrated into the PNR (Passenger Name Record) and mid-office systems.
“Our partnership with Amadeus is crucial to ensure our leading hotel content is accessible to travel agencies around the world. Travel agents today need hotel booking automation to boost productivity, which is why we are committed to delivering content that is most relevant for them and their customers,” said Steve Mackenzie, managing director of the Lido Group.
Initially, 51 new Australian properties can be booked, with 40+ more properties from the Golden Chain Motel and Mainstay Hotel brands in New Zealand expected to be added in coming months. Over the next 12 months, 450 hotels on the AADX will be made available via Amadeus.
