Amadeus and Cleartrip have today announced a multi-year technology agreement. The agreement will see Amadeus provide the company with fare search technologies and access to global travel content through the Amadeus system. Under the new long-term partnership, Cleartrip will use Amadeus as its primary technology provider for its online air offering. The company’s website will be powered with Amadeus Web Services 2.0 – a second generation global technology platform that provides full access to Amadeus extensive content of over 110,000 hotels and 430 airlines.
Cleartrip will also implement Amadeus Master Pricer, a low fare search tool which uses the most advanced algorithms to help travellers find flight options, quickly and easily, to suit their travel needs and budget. Stuart Crighton, Chief Executive Officer of Cleartrip said, “Through this partnership with Amadeus we are confident that Cleartrip will deliver low fare search technology and breadth of content, something that matters most for customers and partners.”
David Brett, President of Amadeus in Asia Pacific commented, “Amadeus will support Cleartrip’s on-going strategy to achieve sustainable competitive advantage by offering greater choice and convenience to their customers in India, and beyond. As the dominant global distribution system in the Indian travel industry, Amadeus is able to deliver the level of customized technology solutions necessary to support Cleartrip’s needs as one of the leading online travel agencies in India.”
