This brings the Group’s total capital investment to £124 million, as it continues its programme to transform, rebrand and reposition 23 hotels across its 74 strong portfolio.

The four-star Jurys Inn hotel in Oxford is to receive an additional 72 rooms and additional meeting space. The hotel will receive £5.7 million of investment as part of the capital expenditure, with work set to be completed in October 2016. The hotel currently boasts 168 bedrooms, 20 meeting and event rooms, conference facilities, bar and restaurant and leisure facilities.

As well as the extension to Jurys Inn Oxford, Hilton Garden Inn and Jurys Inn Belfast will be extended. Hilton Garden Inn, which was rebranded from Jurys Inn last week, will gain an additional 85 bedrooms following a £10 million investment, while Jurys Inn Belfast is to receive an £8 million capital investment to support an addition of 80 rooms, and the complete renovation of all existing rooms.

In total, the Amaris Hospitality extension programme will add a further 237 rooms to the Group, which already has over 13,500 rooms in its portfolio. Amaris Hospitality is actively considering a number of other opportunities to extend additional properties in key strategic locations.

Commenting on the room extension programme, John Brennan, CEO of Amaris Hospitality, said: “The UK hospitality sector is experiencing positive momentum, with the Amaris Hospitality Group making excellent progress on its previously announced business plan. We’re are therefore committing an extra £24 million to add 237 rooms to three landmark hotels.

“The Company continues to trade very well, with further potential to grow the Jurys Inn brand in key UK cities, including other potential extensions. We are also currently in advanced discussions on a number of exciting new development and acquisition projects and look forward to announcing these plans in due course.”
