Steve Harrop joins CTI as operations director, New GM for Conrad London St. James

CTI Corporate Travel International has appointed Steve Harrop operations director.

Harrop joins the company from Dubai-based Destinations of the World Travel, a leading global distributor of hotel accommodation and other ground related travel products where he was group chief operating officer for four years.

He will lead and oversee all of the company’s six operational offices teams, together with the technology teams, and report directly to CTI CEO Ian White.

Commenting on Harrop’s appointment, White said: “Steve is a commercially astute, goal-orientated person with in excess of 20 years’ experience in business management. Having successfully fulfilled roles in a FTSE 100 PLC and major international businesses, Steve is a great addition to the team and will help drive CTI’s ambitious growth plans.”

CTI is one of the UK’s leading independent corporate travel management companies. The company has an annual turnover in excess of £100m and employs 175 staff in six locations. CTI specialises in managing the corporate travel and hotel reservations to over 500 companies.

Nicholas Chalmers has been named the new general manager of Conrad London St. James.

Chalmers joins Conrad London St. James after three years with Jumeirah Carlton Tower, where he was hotel manager. Prior to Jumeriah Carlton Tower, Chalmers also held senior leadership roles with some of London’s top hotels, including Grosvenor House – a JW Marriott Hotel, The Landmark and Renaissance Chancery Court.
