Asiana launches Indonesia flights

Asiana Airlines has commenced direct flights to Indonesia.

On Friday 19 July 2013, the South Korean airline started a new daily service to Jakarta. Flights now depart Seoul’s Incheon International Airport each day at 1715, arriving at Jakarta’s Soekharno-Hatta International Airport at 2215. The return leg leaves the Indonesian capital at 2345, getting back into Incheon at 0855 the following morning. The route is operated using an Airbus A330-300 aircraft with 30 seats in business class and 260 in economy.

The Jakarta launch is the first of two new routes to Indonesia Asiana is planning to launch this month. On 25 July, the airline will commence twice weekly direct flights from Seoul to Bali. Services will leave the Korean capital at 1930 on Thursdays and Sundays, getting into Bali at 0140 early the next morning. The return leg will leave the Indonesian island at 0300 every Friday and Monday, getting back into Incheon airport at 1055.

The Bali route will be operated using a Boeing 767-300 aircraft with 15 seats in business class and 235 in economy.
