A new direct ferry service has commenced connecting Singapore with the Bintan Lagoon Resort, on the Indonesian island of Bintan.
The new service will operate between Singapore’s Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal and the newly-constructed Bintan Lagoon Terminal, located on the resort’s doorstep.
“This is a historic moment,” said Robert Ramey, Managing Director of Mozaic Hotels & Resorts, the management company of Bintan Lagoon Resort. “Bintan Lagoon Resort is now the closest five-star resort destination outside of Singapore. The opening of our beautiful immigration terminal and ferry service cements Bintan Lagoon Resort’s position as the leading resort on Bintan Island. In fact, you can say it makes the resort a destination in itself.”
The route will be serviced by two high-speed 266-passenger ferries and will take approximately 70 minutes. After disembarking, guests can walk over a brand new bridge, clear immigration and exit directly onto Bintan Lagoon Resort’s main lawn.
“The private ferry to Bintan Lagoon Resort is truly a special experience, one that doesn’t exist anywhere else,” added Henry Ng, Mozaic Hotels & Resorts’ Director of Sales. “Our guests will disembark directly at the resort. The trip itself has now become a memorable part of the experience.”
The direct ferry service will shorten the round-trip commute by nearly two hours.
