Buckingham Palace prepares for coronation festivities

In celebration of the Queen’s 60th coronation anniversary, the Buckingham Palace will see a line of festivities planned for four days.
Beginning 11-14 July 2013, the coronation festival will be split into four specific showcase areas: Design and Technology; Food and Drink; Style Pursuits and Pastimes; and Homes and Gardens.
The Festival will be open to public from 12 – 14 July. The Coronation Gala ceremony will celebrate cultural life during the reign, showcasing achievements and personality of this extraordinary age. The event is expected to attract around 60,000 visitors to Buckingham Palace.
