Carnival Cruise Line has cancelled five European cruises, all due to sail between September and November 2013.
The cancelled voyages were due to take place on the 2,124-passenger Carnival Legend, which has instead been moved to the Caribbean where it will sail to Jamaica, Aruba and the Grand Cayman, among other destinations.
The Carnival Legend will now take a 15-day transatlantic voyage from Dover to New York on 25 September 2013, with calls at Dublin, Glasgow, Belfast, Reykjavik, Qaqortoq (Greenland) and St. John’s (Canada) before arriving at New York.
The ship will then begin its Caribbean season early, starting with an 11-day cruise from New York to Tampa, calling at Grand Turk, Aruba, Curacao, Ocho Rios, Jamaica and Grand Cayman.
After the initial cruise the Legend will take a five and eight day cruise before beginning its scheduled seven-day Caribbean sailings from Tampa for the rest of the season.
Guests who are booked on one of the five cancelled cruises will be given the option of either switching to another European sailing and receiving US$200 of onboard credit or receiving a full refund or credit for a future Carnival trip.
