The Carnival Legend cruise ship completed its inaugural New Zealand sailing last week.
The 88,500-tonne ship headed to the country on 10-day roundtrip cruise from Sydney earlier this month, which included the cruise line’s first calls in New Zealand’s South Island.
Carnival Legend has now travelled further south than any Carnival ship, achieving the feat during its visit to Fiordland National Park.
The ship already had the title of travelling the furthest north when it visited Greenland in 2013, and it has also visited more countries and continents than any other in Carnival’s 25-ship fleet.
