Carnival Cruise Lines has announced a return to Europe with new ship Carnival Vista.

The new vessel, which will be the cruise line’s largest, will debut in the region on 1 May 2016 with a 13-day cruise from Trieste, Italy to ports of call in countries including France, Spain, Croatia, Turkey and Greece.

It will then sail a 13-day transatlantic crossing on 21 October 2016 to arrive in New York for a series of cruises from the city.

“It is really exciting to be back in Europe for 2016. The Caribbean is of course still a priority for us, but we are really happy to be sailing out of Europe again as we felt it made sense for us to offer a full European season to our customers in the UK and further afield,” said Erin Johnson, Carnival’s managing director UK & Ireland.

Outdoors the ship will feature the pedal-powered SkyRide where passengers can cycle around a track suspended 800 feet in the air. A SkyCourse ropes course will also form this sports space area alongside The Clubhouse at SportSquare with mini-bowling, ping pong and video games.

Its WaterWorks park has also been expanded with the line’s first water tube ride.
