Carnival Cruise Lines has announced its passengers will now be asked if they have recently travelled to the three countries affected by the Ebola virus.
Those that have visited Sierra Leone, Liberia or Guinea within 21 days will not be able to board a ship, as well as those who show symptoms or have been in contact with those affected by the virus.
It comes after a passenger who had handled an Ebola patient’s blood samples embarked on Carnival Magic.
The hospital worker and her husband were quarantined in their room and refused to touch ground in some ports of call. She returned to Texas on Sunday and was tested negative.
