Shanghai-based China Eastern Airlines will expand its European network this month with the launch of direct flights to Amsterdam.

Effective 26 June 2016, the Chinese carrier will operate four weekly flights on the route.

Services will depart Shanghai’s Pudong International Airport every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday at 1210, arriving at Amsterdam’s Schiphol Airport at 1830. The return flight will then leave Amsterdam at 2015 on the same days, arriving back into Shanghai at 1400 the next day.

China Eastern will deploy its 264-seat Airbus A330 aircraft on the route, configured with 24 flat-bed seats in business class and 240 seats in economy.

The Shanghai-Amsterdam route is also operated by China Eastern’s SkyTeam alliance partner, KLM.
