City Cruises has expanded its operations to Poole following the acquisition of a sightseeing boat.
The Thames sightseeing tour company has purchased a vessel from Blue Line Cruises that will continue to offer trips taking in Sandbanks, Brownsea Island the Jurassic Coast.
Its expansion to Poole hopes to capture more of the staycation market, with more than three million people visiting the resort every year.
It also comes after City Cruises saw year-on-year growth of 22% in the first quarter of the year which has led to a new London Thames Circular Cruise and a second Thamesjet RIB.
“We are currently the number one sightseeing tour on the Thames, but for a long time have had the ambition to expand beyond London. This is the first major step and we are grateful for all the support of our trade partners in making this happen,” said Kyle Haughton, managing director of City Cruises.
