Conrad Hotels opens in Makkah

Conrad Hotels & Resorts recently celebrated the opening of its first hotel in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The new property overlooks the Sacred Mosque, Al Masjid al Haram, and the Holy Kaabah.
Rudi Jagersbacher, area president, Middle East & Africa, Hilton Worldwide, said: “The arrival of Conrad Hotels & Resorts to Makkah marks addition of our second brand into the city and our 11th hotel into Saudi Arabia.”
Conrad Makkah offers 438 rooms, including 62 suites in two towers. The hotel also features onsite dining options. The steak restaurant- Prime, which features an engaging open kitchen and views of Al Haram, to all-day dining at the Al Mearaj restaurant, which features everything from local favourites to international classics.
Conrad Makkah offers an on-site Masjid for up to 1,000 guests with audio connection to Al-Haram. The hotel also has 12 elevators that go directly to Al Haram, providing quick direct access during peak prayer times. For meetings, the hotel offers two meeting spaces for up to 100 guests as well as a business centre and executive lounge.
