Travel management company Carlson Wagonlit Travel (CWT) has signed a five-year renewal agreement with Trainline.

Trainline claims its Business Travel Rail Ticketing Solutions have reduced CWT’s clients’ travel spend from a £126.15 Average Transaction Value in 2007, to just £104.54 in 2015, against an annual inflation which has seen rail fares grow by over 48% over the same period.

Nigel Turner, senior director of Programme Management & Business Services, UK & Ireland at CWT says; “Our partnership with Trainline has gone from strength to strength with some outstanding results for our clients – saving them on average 17% by working with Trainline’s products and support systems.”

The renewed agreement allows CWT clients and customers to take full advantage of Trainline’s self-book tool solution, boasting features such as a cheapest ticket travel policy, best fare finder, live departure boards, station finder and Outlook calendar itinerary integration.
