The DoubleTree by Hilton Edinburgh City Centre has bolstered its team with the appointment of a new head chef.
The hotel has announced the appointment of Morten Rengtved as head chef at its popular Bread Street Brasserie.
Danish-born Morten brings a wealth of experience to the restaurant, having previously worked at the King’s Manor Hotel in Portobello and the Dalmahoy Marriott Hotel & Country Club.
Morten also took part in the hit BBC show Masterchef, reaching the quarter finals of the hotly contested competition in 2012.
He has already started work on updating the menu at the hotel, managed by Redefine|BDL Hotels, the UK’s largest independent hotel management company.
Morten describes the new menu at the Bread Street Brasserie as modern British with a unique twist and says his favourite dish on the menu is cock-a-leekie terrine.
