Dusit is planning to open a new hot spring resort close to the southern Chinese city of Guangzhou.
The Thai hotelier’s Chinese unit, Dusit Fudu Hotels & Resorts, has penned a management agreement for a new 133-room and -villa resort, which will be operated under its luxury Dusit Devarana brand. Located in the Conghua district of Guangdong province, approximately 50 minutes’ drive from Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport, the new property will be set in an area of natural hot springs.
These will be used to heat private pools in all the villas, as well as 22 outdoor spa pools and a hot stone relaxation room. These natural assets will be complemented by a series of Thai massage treatments in the Devarana Spa with five treatment rooms.
“In keeping with our aggressive expansion plan, Dusit Fudu Hotels & Resorts ushers in the New Year with the announcement of a new hotel management agreement of Dusit Devarana Hot Springs & Spa Conghua,” said Dusit Fudu’s president, Lim Boon Kwee.
“With its scenic location, outstanding facilities, gracious and personalised service synonymous with traditional Thai hospitality, we are confident that Dusit Devarana Hot Springs & Spa Conghua will be a great choice for local and international travellers alike.”
As well as the hot spring facilities, the resort will include an indoor swimming pool, several F&B outlets, a fitness centre, KTV karaoke rooms and billiard rooms. There will also be extensive conference and banqueting space, with two meeting rooms and a 300m² ballroom.
Devarana Hot Springs & Spa Conghua is scheduled to open in the last quarter of 2014.
