Dusit Fudu Hotels & Resorts, the Chinese arm of Thailand’s Dusit International, has signed an agreement to manage a new luxury hot spring resort in the southern Chinese province of Yunnan.

Scheduled to open in 2016, the Dusit Devarana Dianchi Lake Kunming will be located 25 minutes’ drive from Kunming, Yunnan’s provincial capital.

It will feature 72 villas all with hot spring pools and a range of wellness facilities also linked to the area’s hot springs, including “nano hydro revitalising pool, aromatic pools, therapeutic pools [and] jade and volcanic stone pools”, plus a hot stone massage room and Dusit’s own Devarana Spa brand. Other facilities will include two restaurants, a lobby lounge, library and three meeting rooms.

“As a popular tourism destination for travellers, Yunnan province is experiencing a growing demand for quality, upscale accommodation options,” said Lim Boon Kwee, president of Dusit Fudu.

“With its scenic location, outstanding facilities and personalised service based on gracious Thai hospitality, we are confident that Dusit Devarana Dianchi Lake Kunming will be a great choice for local and international travellers.”

This becomes the fifth hotel in the pipeline for Dusit’s luxury Devarana brand in China, following the Dusit Devarana Baoting, Dusit Devarana Beijing Lake Side Great Wall, Dusit Devarana Shenyang and Dusit Devarana Conghua.
