Dusit Thani Manila has completed the final stage of its US$20 million renovation with the unveiling of a new vertical garden.
Intended to both enhance the exterior aesthetics of the hotel and have a positive environmental impact, the eight-metre-high green wall uses a variety of plants species to form a natural tapestry above the hotel’s main driveway. The wall will lower the temperature at the driveway, emit more oxygen, dilute pollution and reduce carbon monoxide in the air.
This marks the latest in a series of green initiatives for Dusit Thani Manila, which recently received a Silver certification by the EarthCheck environmental benchmarking scheme.
