Eurocamp is making the move to withdraw its product from UK high street travel agencies following a strategic review of its distribution channels.
The company has invested in its online platforms, and the success of these developments combined with ongoing natural consumer shifts to these channels, has resulted in Eurocamp deciding to reconsider its presence within the UK travel trade in favour of direct channels.
It has issued formal notice to travel agent partners in line with all commercial agreements. All existing bookings will be honoured and all terms and conditions for any changes to bookings will remain in place for those already made by agents.
As a result of this decision, two people working in the trade sales team will be made redundant.
Speaking about the changes, Eurocamp chief operating officer, Stijn Depraetere, said: “We haven’t taken this decision lightly and we recognise the contribution and high levels of service delivered by the trade, and would like to thank everyone for their contribution”.
