Eurowings is expanding extensive flight range from its busiest location, Düsseldorf, with two new summer routes.

On Saturday, 30 April, the German airline will depart from Düsseldorf for the first time to Kavala in Macedonia Greece, and Bastia on the French island of Corsica.

Eurowings will depart for Bastia at 18:00 and arrive in Corsica at 19:50. The airline will use an Airbus A320 for the flight to Kavala, departing at 11:05 am and landing in Greece at 14:55.

Bastia is the main port and the economic centre of Corsica. The town, with a population of more than 43,000, lies at the foot of the Pigno Massif. The old port (Port de Plaisance), which now functions as a marina, is the centre of Bastia.

The Greek port of Kavala on the Thracian Sea offers family-friendly beaches, as well as plenty of cycle routes and scenic hiking trails in the surrounding area. The town is steeped in rich history and due to Kavala’s location on the Via Egnatia, an ancient Roman road, the Roman influence on the townscape is still clearly apparent even today.
