Experience Inghams Lakes & Mountains’ alternative wine experiences this summer

Inghams is highlighting five of its alternative wine tours, festivals and routes (outside of France), which encourage guests to discover local produce and improve their wine knowledge. 

These include a new excursion in Switzerland, Italy’s Bardolino Wine Festival, a special Slovenia and Italy Explorer Holiday and the winegrowing region of Lake Constance:

1. Lavaux Wine Discovery’, a new Inghams excursion from Montreux in Switzerland

From Montreux, the operator is offering a half-day ‘Lavaux Wine Discovery’ excursion from 35 CHF (approx. £28) per person, bookable locally with the Inghams in-resort Representative. Stay for seven nights on a half-board basis at the four-star Hotel Rene Capt in Montreux, Switzerland, from £1,014 per person departing on 9 September 2017. Price includes return flights and airport transfers. Ten, 11 and 14-night holidays are also available.

2. Bardolino Wine Festival 2017, Lake Garda, Italy
Seven nights on a bed and breakfast basis at the three-star Bologna Hotel in Bardolino, Lake Garda, costs from £604 per person departing on 27 September 2017. Price includes return flights and airport transfers. Ten, 11 and 14-night holidays are also available.

3. Slovenia and Italy: Wines & Castles Explorer Holiday

A seven-night Slovenia and Italy Wines & Castles Explorer Holiday from £1,179 per person in September. Price includes return flights and airport transfers, as well as all entrance fees, tours and wine tastings as detailed in the itinerary. Accommodation is a mixture of romantic farmhouse and four-star hotel stays on a bed and breakfast basis.

4. Lake Constance Winegrowing Region: Germany, Austria and Switzerland

To experience next year’s Reichenau Island’s Wine and Fishing Festival, Inghams is offering seven nights on a half board basis at the three-and-a-half-star Ganter Hotel Mohren in Reichenau, Lake Constance, Germany, from £984 per person departing on 1 August 2018. Price includes return flights, airport transfers, free packed lunches and one day free bicycle hire.

5. The Trasimeno Hills Wine Route, Lake Trasimeno, Italy

From Lake Trasimeno, the company is offering a pre-bookable half day excursion (from £49 per person) to historical Pienza and Montepulciano, where guests have a wine tasting. Stay for seven nights on a half board basis at the three-and-a-half-star Hotel Lido in Lake Trasimeno, Italy, from £714 per person departing on 2 September 2017.
