Finnair has announced the launch of additional flights to key Northern Finland winter destinations, Kittilä, Kuusamo and Ivalo, for the winter season 2016-2017.

Kittilä, Kuusamo and Ivalo attract thousands of tourists every year, offering a range of winter activities from ice fishing, hunting the Aurora Borealis and skiing to husky safaris and reindeer sleigh rides.

Finnair connects UK travellers via Helsinki to Kittilä, Kuusamo and Ivalo with several weekly connections, and timetables designed to support smooth connections.

Finnair flies to Helsinki from London Heathrow, Manchester and Dublin with a seasonal service launching from Edinburgh on 18 April 2016.

“We see increasing demand from both Europe and Asia to the winter resorts of Kittilä, Kuusamo and Ivalo, with a capacity of almost 140,000 seats for the winter season 2016-2017 to these destinations,” says Petri Vuori, vice president for Network Planning at Finnair.
