Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines’ Mike Evans, head of sales, is celebrating 25 years with the Suffolk-based company.

Mike Evens, Fred. Olsen’s head of sales (left), receives his celebratory 25th anniversary cake from Justin Stanton, sales and marketing director, at Fred. Olsen House in Ipswich, Suffolk on 3 August 2017.

Evans has fulfilled a number of roles within the sales department of the cruise line during that time, including his current role as head of sales – which he assumed in April 2017 – as well as sales manager – Independent Retail, and regional sales manager for the North of England, Scotland & Northern Ireland.

He is now responsible for managing the sales teams, as well as further developing relations with the travel trade.

Speaking of his 25th anniversary, Evans said:

“It is fantastic to be celebrating a quarter of a century with Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines – the time has really flown by.

“I have seen how the company has changed and expanded over the years and I am really proud to be a part of that.

“I am particularly excited to be leading the team at this time, when we are looking to engage with the travel trade even more than we have done, and we have increased the number of new and innovative itineraries – including our extensive fly-cruise programme.”
