Funway Holidays has launched its online booking engine for UK agents.

Commenting on the development, Nick Talbot, head of Marketing for Funway Holidays said: “In the fast-paced travel industry, it is essential that we are able to respond immediately to new opportunities and stay one step ahead.  This new addition means we can do just that.

“Mobile responsiveness was our first focus when enhancing Funway’s booking engine. Indeed, the ‘mobile revolution’ that is currently taking place means that mobile devices are quickly replacing the desktop as the first means to access the web and buy online.”

The new fully responsive booking engine allows the layout, scale and orientation to be adapted to a mobile viewing experience. “Along with encouraging agents to make a booking it reduces the booking engine bounce rate, meaning the number of visitors who might otherwise get frustrated and leave.”

Talbot concluded, “Although it has only been live a few days, our booking volumes are already up about 12% on the corresponding days last year which is very exciting.”
