Garuda Indonesia has taken delivery of a brand new Boeing 777-300ER aircraft, painted with the SkyTeam livery.
The new long-haul aircraft comes equipped with 393 seats in a two-cabin configuration, including 26 in business class and 367 in economy.
“We continue to grow our network with the SkyTeam alliance and the 777-300ER’s efficiency and economics allow us to stay competitive and with an interior that our passengers love. We’re proud to see our latest 777-300ER in the SkyTeam livery,” said Arif Wibowo, Garuda’s president & CEO.
Indonesia’s national carrier welcomed the first of 10 new B777s in July 2013, as part of its long-haul expansion strategy. It became SkyTeam 20th member airline in August 2014.
At present, Garuda deploys a fleet of eight B777s on routes to Jeddah, Tokyo, Amsterdam and London. These form part of a total fleet if almost 140 aircraft, comprising short-haul ATR aircraft, medium-range Boeing 737s and long-haul B777s, B747s and Airbus A330s.
