Skybreak, the customer service centre based at Gatwick Airport, has forged a new partnership with Rapid Relocate, the emergency accommodation specialist.

Servicing more than 1,000 households per year and with access to 400,000 hotel rooms, Rapid Relocate is a leading agency in the emergency relocation sector.

Commenting on the deal, Jonathan Adams, airport sales and service manager at Skybreak’s Customer Service Centre, said: “We regularly review our supply chain of support products for disruptions such as strikes, cancellations and delays. We need to have the most reliable partners, so we can work with them at very short notice to strengthen the level of care we offer our airlines and passengers.

“Rapid Relocate is a highly experienced organisation with a proven pedigree in emergency accommodation provisions for blue-chip insurance agencies. We were impressed by both their track record and their high standards of customer service.”

Rapid Relocate’s managing director, Alison Burnell-Small, added: “It is almost impossible to predict the timing and scale of the need for emergency hotel rooms due to aviation disruption. As providers to the insurance industry we are already surge tested but have invested further in additional testing to ensure we can deliver when the need arises.”
