GoAir will move its operations from Terminal 1B to Terminal 1A at the Chattrapati Shivaji International Airport
(CSIA).
The move will come into effect from 1 July 2013. A dedicated aisle of check-in counters at Terminal 1A will be available for GoAir passengers, while the airline will also move its ticketing office to the new premise.
Commenting on the development, Rajeev Jain, CEO of Mumbai International Airport Pvt Ltd said, “This development will certainly bring enhanced efficiency in managing passengers travelling at GVK CSIA as it would significantly reduce passenger processing time at Terminal 1B.”
Giorgio DeRoni, CEO of GoAir said, “GoAir passengers can now expect quick turnaround time from check-in to boarding considering that Terminal 1A will now cater to passengers of only two airlines. This will give our passengers a better experience as Terminal 1A is well equipped with passenger amenities.
The airline will inform the passengers about this change through personalised communication and advertising, while the airport will inform the passengers through signages, website, social media and other communication material at various passenger touch points across the airport.
GoAir currently operates 360 movements per week from Mumbai.
