GTA recently got together all their regional partners to evaluate the year gone by and plan strategically for the year ahead.
The main objective of the regional meet was to strengthen their GSA presence and network.
Rami Mashini, VP for Sales and Marketing for MEA, GTA spoke to Travel Daily Middle East on the sidelines of the event: “The regional meet discussed our strategic objectives, ideas and expansion of the GSA network for 2013. The expansion has already been rolled out with addition of two new markets – Nigeria and Iraq. Participants were also taken through all the new company products.”
The regional meet witnessed participation from 22 delegates along with the GTA team were CEO’s and GM’s from GSA’s across Jordan, Lebanon, Turkey, Syria, Egypt, Libya, Tunisia and Kuwait. The meeting was also headed by Rami Mashini VP for Sales and Marketing for MEA, as well as the business development teams.
Elaborating further Mashini said: “We plan to conduct this regional meet annually and will have one in Q4 of this year, in a destination that is important to all of our partner’s markets. Our objectives are simple – we feel there is a need to look towards change, to reconsider the way we all conduct business, to think outside the box and to take every possible opportunity presented to us. The expansion of the GSA network is a key objective along with focusing on new markets. Africa will be a key focus and many new markets which were not necessarily in our sights until now.”
