Hainan Airlines has expanded its Boeing 787 Dreamliner services across China.
The southwestern city of Kunming has become the eighth Chinese city served using the new fuel-efficient aircraft, following Beijing, Haikou, Shanghai, Hangzhou, Changsha, Sanya and Chengdu.
Flights between Beijing and Kunming, the capital of Yunnan province, commenced on Friday 15 November 2013 and will now operate twice a day, with morning and afternoon departures from Beijing.
Hainan Airlines configures its Dreamliners with 213 seats in two classes – 36 flat-bed seats in business class and 177 seats in economy.
Following the domestic roll-out of Hainan Airlines’ Dreamliners, the airline plans to deploy the aircraft on international routes, connecting Beijing with Seattle, Toronto and Chicago.
