Hainan airlines will launch flights to the US city of Boston next year, using its Boeing 787 Dreamliner.

The Chinese airline will commence direct services between Beijing Capital International Airport and Boston Logan International Airport on 20 June 2014. This will make Boston Hainan Airlines’ fourth destination in North America, following Toronto, Seattle and Chicago.

The new service will be operated four times a week, departing Beijing every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday at 1350, and arriving in Boston at 1510. The return flight will leave the Massachusetts city at 1710, getting back into the Chinese capital at 1850 next day.

The flights will be operated using Hainan Airlines’ new 213-seat B787-8 Dreamliner, which features 36 seats in business class and 177 in economy.

The announcement marks the latest stage in the roll-out of Hainan Airlines’ Dreamliners on trans-Pacific routes. Late last month the airline commenced its first B787 service to the US, connecting Beijing with Chicago.
