Hainan Airlines will commence its first Boeing 787 Dreamliner flights to Toronto next week.
From Monday 31 March 2014, the Chinese airline will deploy its brand new B787-8 on the direct route from Beijing Capital International Airport to Toronto Pearson International Airport, replacing the Airbus A330 aircraft that currently operates the route.
The new Dreamliner comes equipped with 213 seats – 36 in business class and 177 in economy.
The Toronto flights will initially operate three times weekly, every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday, before rising to daily flight from 1 May 2014. And through a codesharing agreement with WestJet, Hainan Airlines passengers can also transfer to other Canadian destinations including Montreal, Ottawa, Quebec and Halifax.
Toronto will become Hainan Airlines’ third Dreamliner destination in North America, following Chicago and Seattle, which began in November 2013 and January 2014 respectively.
