Hainan Airlines will launch its first ever flights to Israel next year.
Commencing on 28 April 2016, the Chinese carrier will offer three weekly direct services between Beijing and Tel Aviv.
Flights will operate every Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday, departing the Chinese capital at 0155 and arriving at Tel Aviv’s Ben Gurion International Airport at 0715. The return service will then leave the Israeli city at 1325 and arrive back in Beijing at 0500 the next morning.
The route will be operated using a two-cabin Airbus A330 aircraft with 36 seats business class and 178 in economy, and personal in-flight entertainment systems in every seat.
Hainan Airlines will become the second airline operating the Beijing-Tel Aviv route after El Al. Israel’s national carrier plies the route three times a week (Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays) using a Boeing 767 aircraft.
