Hainan Airlines will fly an Airbus A330 to Melbourne

Hainan Airlines launched its first flights to Melbourne this week, from two Chinese cities.

On Tuesday (8 November 2016), the carrier kicked off a new twice weekly service from Xi’an to the Australian city, and then on Wednesday it commenced twice weekly flights from Changsha to Melbourne.

The Xi’an service will now depart the capital of Shaanxi province at 1630 every Tuesday and Friday, while the Changsha route will leave the capital of Hunan province every Wednesday and Sunday at 1740.

Hainan Airlines will deploy its two-class, 292-seat Airbus A330 aircraft on both routes, configured with 36 flat-bed seats in business class and 256 seats in economy.

The Melbourne service will complement Hainan Airlines’ existing flights to Sydney from Xi’an and Changsha.
