Hainan Airlines receives its second Dreamliner

Hainan Airlines has taken delivery of its second Boeing 787 Dreamliner, touching down on 30 August.
The all-new Dreamliner landed at Haikou’s Meilan International Airport and will be deployed on direct service between Beijing and Chengdu on 5 September. From 6 September the carrier will use the 787 model to operate Beijing-Shanghai services on a daily basis.
Hainan Airlines has been flying Beijing-Shanghai and Beijing-Haikou using its first Boeing 787 since last month. With a second 787 added to its fleet, the carrier will be flying Beijing-Shanghai two times per day.
Hainan Airlines is expecting a total order of 10 Boeing 787s.
The company today announced its half yearly profits had risen by 29.28% year-on-year.
