Hainan Airlines will launch its first ever Dreamliner flights to Europe later this year, with the start of services between Hangzhou and Paris.
The carrier will take delivery of another four Boeing 787 Dreamliners by end of 2014, joining the six it already has in service.
And following the launch of direct flights between Beijing and Boston on 20 June 2014, Hainan Airlines said it is planning to commence a brand new service from Hangzhou to Paris, via Xi’an. Services on the French route are due to start in September.
The new Hangzhou-Xi’an-Paris route will mark Hainan Airlines’ first ever Dreamliner flights to Europe, and the first connection between the French capital and Hangzhou, the capital of eastern China’s Zhejiang province.
Up until now, the airline has deployed its fleet of 213-seat, two-class B787-8s on domestic routes and trans-Pacific services to Seattle, Toronto and New York.
