Hainan Airlines to fly to Chicago
Hainan Airlines has announced plans to launch direct flights between Beijing and Chicago.
From 3 September 2013, the airline will commence four weekly flights on the route, every Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday, using a two-class Airbus A330-200 aircraft.
Flights will depart the Chinese capital at 1320, arriving at Chicago’s O’Hare airport at 1330 the same day, having crossed the International Date Line. The return service will depart Chicago at 1530 and arrive back into Beijing at 1840 the following day.
“Since we began our Seattle route in June 2008, hundreds of thousands of people have experienced the award-winning service Hainan Airlines provides between the United States and China,” said Ji Chun Liu, Director of Hainan’s International Department. “Now we are looking forward to welcoming even more travellers from Chicago and throughout the eastern United States.”
Chicago will become the third North American destination Hainan Airlines serves from Beijing, following Seattle and Toronto.
