Heathrow Express has confirmed it plans to run a normal service should this week’s proposed London Underground strike go ahead.
Heathrow Express trains will run between London Paddington and Heathrow Airport every 15 minutes. Trains will operate according to the normal timetable.
Heathrow Express Director, Fraser Brown, said: “Our advice to passengers is to check before they travel. We will be keeping them up to date on our website, heathrowexpress.com, and on Twitter, @heathrowexpress.”
London Underground workers who are members of the RMT, Unite, TSSA and Aslef unions have voted in favour of a 24-hour walkout in a dispute over plans to introduce a 24-hour tube service later this year. RMT, Unite and TSSA members will walk out from 18.30 this Wednesday August 5. Members of the Aslef union will walk out from 21.30.
Heathrow Connect services are due to run as normal. The free shuttle service, which takes passengers from Heathrow Terminals 2 and 3 to Terminal 4, will also be unaffected.
London Underground services are expected to be affected from 6pm on Wednesday. Services will be suspended all day on Thursday.
