Heathrow Express plans to run a normal service should the next fortnight’s proposed London Underground strikes go ahead.
While this week’s planned strikes were averted at the last minute yesterday, the operator has said that any future industrial action will have no bearing on services.
Heathrow Express trains will run between London Paddington and Heathrow Airport every 15 minutes.
Heathrow Express director, Fraser Brown, said: “As with the last two strikes this summer, our services will be running as normal. Our staff will be on hand to assist passengers with their onward journey from Heathrow.
“We would always advise passengers to check before they travel, and leave extra time for travelling. We will be keeping them up to date on our website, heathrowexpress.com, and on Twitter, @heathrowexpress.”
London Underground workers who are members of the RMT, Unite and TSSA unions had planned to walk out for 24 hours from 18.30 on Tuesday 25 August, and for a further 24 hours from 18.30 on Thursday 27 August. The threat of industrial action is due to a dispute over plans to introduce a 24-hour tube service later this year.
Union members have threatened to walk out next week if their demands are not met.
