Helloworld has sealed new commercial agreements with Qantas and Jetstar.
The new two-year deal with Qantas, which takes effect on 1 July 2016, marks the continuation of the two companies’ existing commercial arrangement.
The deal with Jetstar marks a new direction for the low-cost carrier, with the one-year agreement becoming the first commercial deal the airline has completed with a travel distribution in Australia. This will come into effect on 1 August 2016.
“This partnership builds on Helloworld’s strong relationship with the Qantas Group. With over 1,600 members of our networks and buying group in Australia and New Zealand, these new deals will open up a range of new opportunities for our retail and wholesale businesses,” said Helloworld’s CEO & managing director, Andrew Burnes.
Qantas CEO Alan Joyce also welcomed the agreements.
“These deals go a long way toward strengthening our relationship with Helloworld as their number one airline supplier,” he said. “It also allows us to commence a range of joint marketing and sales activities as well as investigate new commercial opportunities that benefit our businesses.”
