Hertz is expanding its short-term rental options in Australia.
Following the launch of its Hertz 24/7 hourly car rental scheme in Sydney in November 2012, the company is now bringing the scheme to the Gold Coast.
The Hertz 24/7 fleet in Sydney has grown from 25 to 60 cars, and effective this week it will offer seven vehicle types for hourly rental in the Gold Coast, including the VW Golf, Toyota RAV4 and Mini Cooper Cabriolet.
“We’ve been extremely pleased with the feedback from Sydney renters, and of course are delighted that we will soon be providing Gold Coast residents and visitors with an accessible, affordable short-term car rental option. Hertz 24/7 is a great alternative to car ownership, particularly in urban and inner city areas, as membership is free and requires no ongoing costs,” said Greg Giraud, general manager of Hertz 24/7 Australia.
“The service is also great for travellers, as Australian members have automatic access to vehicles in cities around the world such as London, Paris, New York, Boston, Washington DC, Miami, Berlin and Madrid,” he added.
Users have to become a member of Hertz 24/7 and can book cars online or via smartphones for a period of between one hour and three days.
