Hilton has entered into a new partnership with AirAsia, offering benefits for the members of the two companies’ loyalty programmes.

Members of the Hilton Honors and AirAsia Big loyalty schemes will now be able to earn points when staying at any of Hilton’s 4,200 properties worldwide.

Ten HHonors points plus two Big points will be awarded for every US dollar spent during their stay. Guests staying at Hampton Inn, Homewood Suites and Home2 Suites properties however, are eligible to earn up to 200 Big points.

“It is a great joy today as… AirAsia Big hold hands together with a leading global hospitality company, Hilton Worldwide, to bring more rewards to the members,” said Alice Goh, CEO of AirAsia Big.

“Big Shots (AirAsia Big members) get to enjoy benefits such as priority access for AirAsia sales and redeem free AirAsia flights to over 100 destinations from as low as 100 Big points. Today, AirAsia Big has landed in India and we are happy to serve the travellers in India with this alternative way to travel for free,” added Goh.

“The low-cost carrier sector, particularly in Asia, is experiencing strong growth with massive demand driven by fast-growing economies and rising intra-regional travel,” said Mark Weinstein, Hilton’s vice president of commercial services strategy for loyalty programs & partnerships.

“We continue to build upon our pioneering spirit to become the first global hospitality company to form a strategic alliance with a key regional carrier’s loyalty programme, which rewards our Hilton HHonors members with twice the number of Big Points. We are pleased to be working with a partner such as AirAsia to offer members more options to earn HHonors Points and Big Points that can be used to create memorable travel experiences.”

Hilton becomes the latest travel and tourism partner for AirAsia Big, joining the likes of Budget, Avis, Concorde Hotels and Hard Rock Hotels.
